That was the year that was 01 Jan 2009
Hmm. A funny old year, 2008. I can’t say I will miss it on certain levels. However there were a lot positives—or at least, notable moments:
- Family and friends are hale, hearty and happy
- Work continues apace; haven’t really had room to take stock, but it’s all good (10% rate cuts notwithstanding!)
- ILUG 2008 and UKLUG 2008 were highlights. I am in awe of the Mooneys, Elsmores, Duffberts, Raineys, Whites, Coates, Woodwards, Buchans and Fitzgeralds of this world!
- Loving what my chums at Elguji Software are up to
- I like that twitter thing
- Amongst many notable deaths this year, two struck a particular chord here: Michael Crichton and Arthur C. Clarke
Thoughts / notes for 2009?
- London Developer Co-op! Woo hoo!
- Yeah yeah, DominoWiki… would you believe me if I said I have a release almost ready? No, thought not. Well I do. Honest guv!
- Blogging has been more miss than hit this year: I don’t really do resolutions, but I may make an exception there
- XPages: come to papa…
So, here’s to a healthy interesting 2009 for you all, and thanks for coming back.
Happy New Year!Ben Langhinrichs#
