IBM have a stack of Redbook residencies coming up this autumn. If you can stretch to doing one, I imagine they make for an invaluable experience, both in terms of your career / development, but also in terms of working with other residents from all over the place. Two sessions have particularly caught my eye (not that I can do anything with these you understand ;-)):

• Extending Sametime 7.5 - Building Plug-ins for Sametime
