Bah

I have a moan about this sort of thing every now and again: my internet bank has always been pretty good with regards accessing their services from any browser you care to mention. However, recently they changed their log-in process, and it’s broken in Safari. I let them know, and got this reply:

I can confirm that we are aware of this problem and are working to try and resolve this. In the meantime we are advising customers to use internet explorer, you can download this free of charge from microsoftt.com [sic]

Internet Explorer? You must be joking! IE on the Mac is still version 5, with no more iterations coming. Tsk. Firefox works just fine… but why do on-line services — i.e. people who want our money for goodness’ sake — persist in using platform / browser-centric Javascript in this day and age? There is simply no need for it.
