More virtualisation...

It seems to me that “virtualisation” is really starting to take off in the client machine world—no longer just a mainstay of hard-core developers and servers. The latest move is news that Microsoft are planning to make available a free Virtual PC image of WinXP with IE6 and the IE7 readiness toolkit all ready to go. The image will be time-locked (expires in April 2007), but I wonder how long that will last… Heh.

  1. Went to a VMWare demo recently of their Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (and blogged about it here: http://blog.fourlakes.co.uk/2006/11/28/virtual-desktops/ ).
