  2. I know it's all sensitive and all but I'd be very curious to hear from anyone just how much money google ads make, and what the average income per visitor works out to.

I have no doubt that my own site wouldn't even pay for the grease to lube the hard drive platters ;-)Colin Pretorius#
  3. Colin, you pay for your lube? Man, you should have said. Good ole’ pig grease works just fine.Ben Poole#
  4. Actually, I am curious as well. Not because I am likely to use the ads, but because I am surprised that others have. I hope that you at least get a good return, if you must use the darn things.Ben Langhinrichs#
  5. Ben, it depends on your popularity. If the site traffic costs real money you will be making more than that. If the site does not burn any money you will also not make any.

If you are read by, let's say 50 people, it does not make any sense. But if you have hundreds, let alone thousands and more, then it makes sense. It turns an expense into a revenue. Imagine you would not need to pay for the ride to work and instead get a fare. It just depends how many people ride on your bus. I guess one learns by trying.Volker Weber#
  6. I get about 400 people a day on my site, but it doesn't cost anything extra to handle that load. I know you get a fair amount more than that, so maybe it does.Ben Langhinrichs#
  7. OpenNTF Google ads produce hundreds of dollars per month.

  8. Ben, I agree with you that ads would not make sense on your company site. But here they do.Volker Weber#
  9. And I might add, that I also click them, when I see them. I want Ben P. to get a new computer soon. ;-)Volker Weber#
  10. :-)Ben Poole#
  11. Well, I certainly want Ben to have a new computer soon as well. Cheers!Ben Langhinrichs#
